Working Student - Market Analysis Environmental Markets (f/m/d)

Our Power & Renewables Analysis team is looking for YOU!

Your responsibilities

• You gain an overview over environmental markets, with a focus on the European emission trading system (EU ETS 1&2) and the emission trading system in the United Kingdom (UK ETS)
• You screen and summarize news and regulatory updates and support with stakeholder communication
• You support our team in the software development of fundamental market model by improving our code base to increase user-friendliness and implement new functionalities
• You prepare and analyse data for ad-hoc analyses regarding emission markets in Europe

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (energy, renewables, or sustainability systems preferred) or (Energy) Economics
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PowerBI and Python (or at least one similar programming language), experience using GitHub and/or Databricks is a plus
• Proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous work or project experience in energy & market modelling is a plus
• Ability to work from our Düsseldorf office location at least biweekly
