Senior Credit Risk Manager (m/f/d)

In this role you will

• Managing a defined portfolio related to wholesale credit risk matters
• Reviewing, recommending, and approving credit proposals for HBCE, in line with credit approval authority limits
• Maintaining strong credit quality of the portfolio, consistent with the Group’s credit culture. Promoting prudent lending principles to ensure high asset quality and minimize credit losses
• Proactively identifying and highlighting emerging risks and substandard credit exposures, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to protect the Bank’s interests
• Maintaining regular communication with stakeholders and internal clients on understanding and sharing vision, challenges and potential solutions
• Collaborating on transaction pipelines, credit guidelines, portfolio or product analyses, risk appetite definition, and other credit risk initiatives

You should apply if you have

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
• Experience in credit risk within relevant business sectors (Mid-Market/Large Corporates and Multinational Clients)
• Good understanding of HSBC’s overall operational dynamics
• Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization both within the Risk function and with business stakeholders
• Demonstrated capacity to assess risk trends, both internally and externally
• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); German and / or French is an advantage
