Your tasks
- Participating in the development of new reusable services based on complex business requirements to implement the functionalities of the product.
- Integrating backend systems from the Commerzbank IT landscape to realize the functionality of your team’s applications.
- Supporting incident resolution and bug fixing.
- Participating in technical analysis and preparation of technical documentation.
- Participating in architectural discussions and decisions.
- Supporting the test and release management processes.
- Participating in a development process in which code quality, transparency and cooperation are highly valued.
- Working in close collaboration with all team members and participate actively in all team meetings.
Your profile
- Professional experience in software development with Java;
- Good knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design/architecture;
- High knowledge of RESTful Web Services;
- High knowledge of Units and module testing;
- Knowledge of Messaging services (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub);
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills;

The cluster Digital Banking Solution (DBS) delivers fast, client-focused Digital Banking products and services for all channels (Online, Mobile, Branch and Customer Desk).
By using advanced technologies, we are developing new services in various environments focusing predominantly on a cloud approach. The various teams are running in an agile approach (Scrum and partially Kanban).
As a Java Developer, you will play a major role in the development and enhancement of different software applications using various technologies. You will collaborate closely with other Developers, Business Experts, Architects, DevOps and Quality Assurance specialists in order to ensure the best functionalities and highest quality for the products owned by your team. You should already have meaningful experience in the development of web applications with microservice architecture, running in cloud environment. You will be part of an agile international team, and you will be given the opportunity to learn many new technologies and develop yourself further.
