Automation Engineer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
In this role, you will work on diverse automation projects in the process industry, accompanying them from technical implementation to commissioning.
Your responsibilities will include, among others:
- Programming and further development of PLC controls with Siemens TIA Portal
- Creation and customization of visualizations with Siemens WinCC SCADA and WinCC Unified
- Commissioning of plants and machinery at our customers' sites, both domestically and abroad
- Analysis, optimization, and modernization of existing automation solutions
- Support for technical project execution in close cooperation with project management, design, and software development
- Execution of functional tests, error analyses, and documentation
- Technical coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Provisioning and Structuring of OT Data Points for Digital Production Systems
- Setup and Maintenance of Interfaces between Plant, Control System, SCADA, and OPDPRO.CARE
- Contribution to the further development of stable, understandable, and digitally usable process flows
Your profile
You would fit in well with us if you understand automation technology not just as programming, but as an interplay of system, process, people, and software.
This is what you bring:
- Completed training in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, a completed degree in electrical engineering with a focus on automation
- Very good knowledge of PLC programming with Siemens TIA Portal
- Experience with Siemens WinCC SCADA and ideally WinCC Unified
- Technical understanding of industrial plants and processes
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Driver's License Class B
- German and English language skills at least at level B2
- Structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented approach
- Teamwork skills, strong communication, and enjoyment of technical challenges
Advantageous are:
- Further language skills, especially Polish
- Experience in the process industry
- Knowledge in drive technology, network technology, or industrial communication
- Experience with modernization and retrofit projects
- Interest in digital production systems, MES solutions, digital twins, and Industry 4.0

Head of Process Automation Engineering
This path is about technically understanding industrial processes, implementing them in PLC and SCADA solutions, providing data points for OPDPRO.CARE, and making plant processes stable, traceable, and digitally usable.
The Industrial Process Engineer - Digital Twin & Automation develops and implements the process logic in the plant. It connects PLCs, SCADA, OT data, and process knowledge with the digital twin in OPDPRO.CARE.
The central development themes include:
- Technically understand, structure, and implement processes
- Develop, adapt, and optimize SPS programs
- Create SCADA images and operating concepts
- Provide and make data points for OPDPRO.CARE usable
- Establish interfaces to the system
- Accompany commissioning
- Make process flows stable, transparent, and traceable
- Translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions
- Take on progressive responsibility for standards, concepts, and technical leadership
